One possible distributor for our film is Future Shorts. This is a global distribution website. It allows anyone from anywhere to set up a screening of their short film and join there international cinematic community. Future shorts is powered by a world wide community of screening partners, who are responsible for screening there own event. This includes arranging a venue, projection equipment and promoting the event. The partners may charge for tickets but it is a community project so the price is low. Future shorts has the ability to change the way people engage with cinema, changing our cinematic experiences and creating a global conversation. They are based worldwide with festivals taking place in 300 cities in 90 countries.

Licence: each season you are able to by a licence to screen your short film, through purchasing this you will also be provided with a media kit.

Venue: Previous screenings have taken place in a number of places from warehouses, bars, town halls and music festivals. All you need is a projector and an audience.

Promote: Due to Future shorts being a global online community the best way to promote your short film is through social media.

To distribute your short film on this site all you need to do is register. You click on Submit Your Short Film (under the distribution tag) and fill in the form. You can use there in house studio for any post production effects, including editing, graphics and sound services.

This could be a good distribution method for us as we could promote our film through social media such as Twitter and Facebook but also through the Future Shorts community. We would be able to pull together an audience and screen our short film in the lecture theater. This way we would have reached out to our target audience and they may promote our film further through word of mouth.
