UK film festivals.
There are several UK film festivals that specialise in the exhibition of comedy films. To name a few these are, LOCO, cofilmic and comedy festival.
It would be great to have our film shown here as it would reach it's desired audience straight away, receive valuable feedback from our target demographic and also reach out to any company willing to distribute our film. Lots of film makers and talent would also be present so we could, in theory, expand our production company. If our film was successful at one of these distributors would come to us instead of us going to them.
Distributors.
Left films
They are independent film distributors based in the UK and boast to be dynamic and forward thinking. They specialise in sci-fi comedy films that are adventurous and rather niche. One of their films is called Ninjas vs Vampires. This illustrates what they like to do.
Icon films
Icon films is an independent UK based film distributor that was formed in 1999 and boasts such titles as The transporter 3, 30 days of night and Paranormal activity. They generate £150 million at the box office with their films so they are at the forefront of UK film distribution. They don't specialise in any genre in particular as they have had success in all films and work with anyone who has premise to do well.
