As panning is quite tricky to do smoothly I did some research into making our experience easier and our pans smoother.
This video compares using your hand to pan and using a rubber band, the constant smooth tension created by the rubber band makes panning easier and is a cheap trick. Handheld pans are notorious for being hard to do and easy to spot and using a handheld pan can break the immersion of our film.
